What does Moving Forward mean to you?
To me, Moving Forward is clearly a team effort. Of course, I can grow and develop on my own. But the biggest steps happen when people move forward together. Sometimes I’m the one leading the way and providing direction. Other times, I’m grateful when someone helps me, supports me, or brings me along. That balance is incredibly important to me. One thing I really appreciate about Berghof Automation is that I can approach others openly with questions, ideas, or when I need support. That’s what Moving Forward means to me: being there for each other as a team and growing together.
What helps you switch off and recharge?
Being outside. Fresh air. Movement. Nature helps me clear my mind. Often, it’s the small moments that make the biggest difference: a walk, a few minutes of quiet, or simply taking a moment to notice what’s happening around me. After work, sometimes a half-hour bike ride is enough to help me sort through my thoughts and let the day slowly wind down. And when I’m indoors, I love reading. Fantasy, historical fiction, or science fiction. Most people probably wouldn’t expect that, but there’s a little adventurer in me. Exploring different worlds through books gives me fresh perspectives and plenty of inspiration.
What are you most proud of, professionally or personally?
I’m often a little nervous when something new begins, simply because I don’t know what to expect. That was true when I joined Berghof Automation. And it has been true in my personal life as well, especially on trips where we traveled without a fixed plan. In Cape Verde and Iceland, we had very little booked in advance. Letting go of control and seeing where things would take us took some courage. But that’s exactly what I’m proud of: that I went for it anyway. And every single time, it worked out. Those turned out to be some of the most memorable trips I’ve ever taken. What I’ve learned is that when I have the courage to embrace the unknown, my confidence in myself grows tremendously.
What defines teamwork for you?
At Berghof Automation, I experience a genuine willingness to help one another. Everyone is willing to listen, and people support each other whenever they can. Very often, all it takes is finding the right person to talk to. Once that happens, ideas can be discussed openly and solutions can be developed together. From day one, I felt welcomed and included. That spirit of working together is still there today. And to me, that’s what true team spirit is all about.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Believe in yourself a little more. There’s more in you than you often realize. Many challenges seem overwhelming at first. But over time, they become part of your everyday life. And you wonder why they ever felt so big. Remembering that gives me confidence. And it’s that confidence that helps me take on new responsibilities and embrace new challenges today. Even when they push me outside my comfort zone
