Almost as thrilling as the moon landing: A great number of people all over the world were spellbound when they followed the NASA live stream and watched the satellite “OSIRIS-REx“ landing for a few seconds on the asteroid “Bennu“ sucking in material from the surface with its grab arm. Despite indications of an impending economic crisis, all signs still point to growth for Berghof in 2020. As of January 1st, 2020, the Berghof group of companies headquartered in Eningen, Germany, has acquired Gigahertz-Optik GmbH, which is located in the bavarian city Tuerkenfeld near to Munich. By this the Berghof Group grows from five to six subsidiaries and from eight to nine business units.

After almost two years of construction time, Deutsche Bahn recently opened Europe's largest and most modern maintenance centre in Cologne's Nippes quarter. Deutsche Bahn now services up to 17 high-speed trains, including the new ICE 4, here on a daily basis. The central control system forms the heart and nerve centre of this impressive facility. Berghof Process Management, the Railway Control Management specialist within the Berghof Group, won the tender with its Management Computer called BFR, which is based on the IBIS control system developed by Berghof. Report in the "Reutlinger General-Anzeiger", issue of September 23th, 2021: The company headquartered in Eningen has substantially increased turnover and number of employees. The Berghof Group, with its main site in Eningen, grew significantly in the corona year 2020. Compared to 2019, sales increased by 10 percent to 60.3 million euros.
