Until now, there is only one cumbersome and lengthy solution to determine the UV reflectance of surfaces in the UVC spectral range. The emphasis is on – until now.
Take samples of the surface, often still in the exact size needed for the sample chamber of the respective spectrophotometer, send them to a specialized laboratory – and then wait for the result. Until now, it was this cumbersome and lengthy, to determine the UV reflectance of surfaces in the UVC spectral range.
As of now, however, this is also much easier and, above all, faster. Because our subsidiary Gigahertz-Optik, specialized in the development, production, calibration and distribution of optical radiation measurement equipment with expertise in the entire optical spectral range from ultraviolet (UV) to infrared (IR), now offers for the first time a solution to measure UVC surface reflectance, both specular and diffuse, directly on site with the new "LCR-20" hand-held meter.
An innovation that comes exactly at the right time: because with the "LCR-20" UVC disinfection applications, not least due to the corona pandemic an increasingly important topic, can be characterized directly on site. This fascinates the experts, too: The International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) has awarded the "LCR-20" with the UV Product Innovation Award 2021.
