OEM solutions

Aside from our own products, we also offer OEM solutions. Berghof can develop and manufactures new products in and under your name or modifies Berghof products according to your design requirements. In this regard, our customers view us as a reliable and innovative partner.

An example of such an OEM solution is the Sartorius Water Detection System. This is a product developed by Berghof, and currently successfully marketed solely by Sartorius AG under the designation WDS400.

The Sartorius WDS 400 Water Detection System is used for the selective determination of water in solids, whereby a differentiation is possible between the various bonding forms such as surface, capillary and constitutional water. The coulometric measurement principle is similar to a Karl-Fischer titration, however, no toxic reagents are required. Heating the sample in a stainless steel oven causes the water in the sample to evaporate, the water vapor is then mixed with a carrier gas and conducted into a measuring cell specially developed and patented by Berghof. In the measuring cell, a selective determination of the water vapor concentration in the carrier gas is coulometrically performed.
