Continuous Ethernet networking
The Ethernet terminal (e-terminal) is designed as a simple, quickly-implemented display for CoDeSys target visualisation. It is optimally suitable for the PLC visualisation of a CoDeSys-PLC and is easy to link-up via Ethernet - TCP/IP. The intelligence lies in the PLC, and the multifarious connections are dispensed with in favour of the continuous and space-saving Ethernet connection.
Small installation space: 3.5" and 5.7" displays
The smallest BERGHOF version of the e-terminal comes with external dimensions measuring only W x H x D = 120 x 85 x 35.7 mm, the cut-out for installation is just 77 x 108 mm for H x W; a compact housing with minimal dimensions.
Universal use thanks to VNC remote technology
The remote display is conceived as a VNC client and is based on the universal, VNC remote desktop technology. To this end the e-terminal receives the screen content of a remote computer (server) via the VNC protocol. The e-terminal can communicate with Windows and Linux computers alike. It is then a distributed display system and input terminal rolled into one, e.g. as an intelligent information system or as part of a control system.
